With two song concerts, you will experience a small art song festival as part of the Reutlingen Chamber Music Cycle 2021/2022, which under the name "PoeMus" draws attention to the congenial connection between poetry and music. The genre of art song with its immeasurable, varied repertoire treasures needs a revival in the classical concert business. The famous interpreters Juliane Banse, Julian Prégardien and Manuel Walser lift versatile treasures from the repertoire: In addition to Schubert's Schwanengesang, the focus is on the lieder of the 19th century with songs and duets by Robert and Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, by Gustav and Alma Mahler, Cécile Chaminade and Lili Boulanger. As an established song pianist, Doriana Tchakarova could be won for both concerts. The festival ends with a workshop on the art song genre led by Johannes Held, who works as a baritone, artistic director of several festivals, music events and workshops.
